FAQs

Can I scrap a car without a V5C?

Often yes, but you'll need to prove you own the car. Call us and we'll explain what we need in your case.

What proof of ownership helps?

Photo ID, proof of address and anything linking you to the car, such as a purchase receipt or finance settlement letter.

How do I tell the DVLA?

Without the logbook, you write to the DVLA with the car's details, the date it was scrapped and who took it. A Certificate of Destruction is available from us on request.
